Suhoor - Chicken burger, almonds, milk, chai (jaanu), dates, water, grapes and plums.
Iftaar - Dates, water, orange juice, jemput-jemput pisang (fried banana mashed in flour), carrot sticks, grapes, prunes, and kiwi. Followed by chai (milk tea) for jaanu.
Dinner - Fruit chaat and water.
I was watching Huda TV today and heard a story told by the Shaikh regarding the three deadly sins in Islam, or for that matter, in most religions.
A man was asked to choose from the three evils: To kills, to steal or to drink alcohol. The man though he would go for the simplest one which is to drink alcohol. So he drank and drank and after some time he got up from his drunkeness and found that.... while drunk he was able to steal and kill and this happened while he did not know what he was doing. This simply goes to show the deadly effects of alcohol consumption besides destroying the liver in the long run.
Did you know in Arabic, alcohol is called Khamar, very similar to Khimar. Khimar means the covering of the body, something Muslim women wear, while khamar, sounds similar because it is the covering of the mind....which enables man to do things beyond his rational control.
Don't drink and live.
Allahuallam
