I subscribed to ProductiveMuslim daily newsletters and today Mr. AbuProductive posted the following questions for us to ponder on as a week (InshaAllah) of Ramadan has passed us by under our noses.
1. How's my Ramadan going so far? (Good? Bad? Ugly?)
MashaAllah, in the food fasting sense, very good otherwise, reading the Quran, maybe twice so far, prayers? missed fajr a couple of times but made up for it and missed zhr and made up for them too.
2. How's my energy levels during the day/night? When do I feel most energetic and when do I feel most tired?
Energy levels are good in the mornings then during after zhr times I start feeling tired and listless but it improves again after asr times, mashaAllah.
3. How's my daily schedule/daily routine? Is it optimal? Can I change it? Make it better?
Daily schedule so far good and yes, of course improvable. I can get up at 6.30am and reach office by 8am, this would be optimal but due to my eye problems I have to sleep longer in the mornings till 7.30 or 8am just so my eyes wouldn't get irritated and dry during the day. I am trying to take a prayer break at 2pm or 3pm for zhr prayers and then continue with lab work again, two days now and this routine has been going well. InshaAllah I would be able to keep it up.
4. What's my biggest productivity challenge that I'm facing during Ramadan and how can I practically overcome it?
I would say reading the Quran. I think I should be able to make time, between 7pm and maghrib time, to read/ listen the Quran daily.
5. How are my Ramadan Goals coming along? Am I sticking to them? or are they starting to slip?
but first, what are my ramadan goals?? Let's make them:
- get up latest by 7am, reach lab/office by 8am
- not miss any of my salat and to say them on their respective times
- not spend money unnecessarily
- to read the Quran daily
InshaAllah
