6th Ramadan - West to East

Sempoi fried chicken

I received and filled in the clearance checklist today which came via email from HR. The officer whose name is also Christine, a Malaysian of Chinese and Taiwanese parentage. Nice lady, HR personnel are always nice!

Well now, another project coming to an end after an invitation from a colleague to join to help with the research and postgraduate centre there. The 3rd official university I worked in after my PhD. In sequence; the University of Manchester as a postdoctoral research associate 2012-2013; Management and Science University with many hats and many roles 2013-2022; Xiamen University Malaysia as a senior manager 2023-2024. From the west to the east tasting different cultures and university practices. I think it’s time to choose. No longer young although may look young! Past mid age so it is time to chose a permanent job or just be happy with personal company.

Usually I make up my mind by praying to God for discernment so that the choice I made is the best for my religion and this world. May it be beneficial.

After work today I reached home by a little early due to clear roads so hopped to the grocers to get chicken to try that fried chicken recipe which the children enjoyed. I called it sempoi fried chicken and we broke our fast with jelly coconut and fried potatoes with dates and juice. Simple one for a Monday.

Alhamdulillah
