Just conform to fit in or get out, we don't want you in.
I realized that through the years and what I have gone through, I did enjoy my life during my undergraduate years so much that I missed them dearly.
Thanks to Facebook, I managed to keep in touch with friends, and today I found a long-time friend during school days, or rather she found me. We lost touch ever since leaving school, when she left to pursue medicine in the university of leeds and I continued back home for six long years before pursuing my PhD at the university of manchester last year. We lost touch so much so when I went through her facebook page, her photos reminded me what I enjoyed during my BSc back home especially with the students at church.
That was when I realized also that Muslims are not as inclusive as the christians. Or maybe it is just the age gap. Let's give it the benefit of doubt.
Shared iftaar and dinner today. Aisha just moved in, busy with her masters dissertation, a hijabi... ahmmm... i miss it really. She made some salad with black eyed peas, mixed veg and potatoes.
