Riots have been taking place in England. I say England not Britain because nothing has been heard of from Scotland and Wales. What started it as a rioting last Sunday due to a killing of an innocent citizen by a police's bullet in London on Thurday last week became a domino effect which spread all the way up north. Many photos of broken windows and burnt buses etc. was hot on facebook and twitter in London and in Manchester.
There were reports (from the guardian.co.uk) effecting this act of hooliganism from the mismanaged government policies which emphasises the gap between the lower and higher classes in Britain but many also think it is an act of mere irresponsibility from teens during this summer break with nothing to do. Nothing to do, not enough money to go for holidays because of the inflation and increasing prices of services, the increase in University fees from 2012 onwards (which means not many young men and ladies can afford tertiary education on their own), the warm summers, boredom, lack of government-organised activities to keep them busy and entertained, lask of parental attention, lack of proper civic education and a poor sense of logic which leads to lislessness and easily influence by peers for the wrong reasons.

Then again..... thank God this did not sprout from the Ummah of our beloved Muhammad (pbuh) otherwise again there will be bad publicity for our deen.

I noticed that the media seems to hunger for reasons and to quickly find scapegoats for this unrest. This time they are blaming the government. How shameful. It would be probably better from them to go back to the roots and to assess their family system. Perhaps then they can find the cure for most societal ills in the UK.

Allahuallam (God knows best).
