Suhoor - Almonds+Swiss muesli+raisins+date+milk with honey+pear+water. Jaanu had Almonds+date+toast with kheer+chai and water.
Iftaar - Kofta+mini pizza buns+cholay+cucumber+dates+water and milk(me) and chai(jaanu).
Dinner - Matar pilau (Rice and greenpeas) with rendang, baked fish fillet, began ka burta and apples.
Yesterday's dinner outside was a break in the norm. Eventually we had to finish the left overs in the fridge today before cooking new dishes. Jaanu bought two pieces of lamb hearts last weekend and I've cleaned it today. It is his favourite; this heart and liver dishes. We might have this for dinner tomorrow.
Following the recent rioting in England over last weekend and earlier this week, four lives have been lost for no good reasons. Three were muslim men: a 21 year old and two other brothers who according to news reports were trying to protect their property when they died. The fourth was British man. May their souls rest in peace.
Al-Jazeerah reported yesterday how a Malaysian student was attacked then robbed in London. He had just arrived in the UK about a month back, a government scholar and was on his was to get food to break his Ramadan fast when thugs (teens of white and black origins) attacked him and then had the cheek to rob him after that. His face was bleeding in the footage uploaded by Al-Jazeerah. The most appaling act any foreigner could expect when they had the impression that the UK is an advanced and well-developed nation. In retrospect, thugs are found everywhere and in this instance they attacked in broad daylight!
Advice is to make sure to travel in pairs and try not to wander alone in deserted or questionable alleys or side roads.
This blessed month of Ramadan is passing. It is almost drawing to the middle of the month now. Also today, a friend's father passed away. May Allah give Sakina Rawther and her family strength during this sad time and faith during their fasting in this holy month. May her father's soul be taken up and may Allah have mercy on him. Ameen. Allahuallam.
