These days I’ve been listening to lectures of Dr. Abu Anas Madani. It makes positive impacts on the practice of the deen. It is a welcome retreat to the way of the prophets, practices, manners and lessons.
Alhamdulillah
The most important thing I learnt this year is tadabbur… defining in a more structured manner the meaning of the Quran in relations to the Hadiths and Sirah of the Prophets in our daily practices to make us a better individual… a better Muslim.
Everyone is born a muslim. It is race and culture that brings us astray. For in the holy Quran it is mentioned, clearly, that an Arab is no less important than a non Arab. How are we different from one another then? During hajj or umrah, we are constantly reminded of this by the cloth we are prescribed to wear, that we do not as a human may naturally have an instinct to compare. Now the garment prescribed removes this instinct where we stand present in the first holy mosque declaring our faith as equal servant of Allah.
May we all be constantly reminded of this. The garment we wear as we enter the world. The garment we wear as we perform hajj and the final garment we wear as we leave this world.
Allahuallam
