Ramadan 1444h - Book

Iftaar platter day 1 Ramadan 1444h - at home

It reminds me of the last Ramadan 12 years ago in the UK. When I wasn’t working, pregnant with my first and alhamdulillah managed to complete the 30 days of fasting with daily terawih at the nearby masjid without missing any. Almost every terawih I was the only female. Mostly thanks to the fervent support of my dear husband.

Back to the present. The day started with sehri at 5am I awoke. Made breakfast of parathas from scratch. Then woke the family at 5.30am. We sat for the meal except for the boy who was still fast asleep. Both the girl and husband made the first day of fasting today. MashaAllah. I am happy for my 11 year old. She has grown beautifully since that Ramadan in the UK.

The day was the usual (when I am self employed). Today was for administrative purposes and follow ups. Sent the boy to school at 12.30pm and picked the girls from school at 1.10pm. Ferrying them to and fro becomes the daily duty, sometimes interjected when husband can assist. Napped after the zohor adhan and then continues the administrative follow ups. The book was just released from the press 2 days ago. Alhamdulillah and I think I have managed to sell 10 so far. A lot of marketing to be done. InshaAllah may it be made simple.

Today also husband received his first macbook air pro. More expensive than my return flight ticket! Was what I told him… 😂. May this Ramadan be a blessing. Amin.
