Today for the first time the whole family prayed terawih at the masjid. It was peaceful and the spirit of ramadan was felt. Alhamdulillah. It was Maisha’s and Emir’s first terawih in a masjid. Good experiences.
We did just 8 rakaats then came home for dinner of chicken achari with chapati. Iftaar was also made at home. We had shami kebab, lemonade, sago gula melaka, watermelon, sausages and pakora, dates and chai.
Today Emir went back to school after a couple of days at home due to fever. Maisha has successfully fasted for all days of ramadan to date except for two days when she felt like vomiting. Good training.
Cousin continued to contact me regarding his understanding of Islam. Oh yes today is also Good Friday for the Catholics so his questions and taunts were about why such an intelligent cousin failed to see Islam as a scam. So…. I have him a photo of the Quran and translation by Abdullah Yusuf Ali and advised him to read that instead and passed his number to a scholar from HCF. Requested another ustaz to counsel his odd questions and hope and prayed he will come to understand. Good discussions.
