Ramadan 21 - Sore throat

Iftaari today

Took it easy today. Did a lot of reading from Surah Ali’Imran until ayat 100. It touched a lot on the difference of the people of the book and the muslims. The changes which happened during the rule of Constantine and how he used the religion of Jesus for his benefit. It also touched on how the people of the book will work to cause the muslims to become doubtful and sway in their believe in Allah the almighty. The religion of Abraham was used to the advantage of the rulers of that time and it changed into what we have now Judaism, Christianity and Islam. All are one because all comes from the only one Creator. 

Quite like humans to categorise to their own benefit. I read an article today on psychology and how humans have this tendency to categorise to their benefit.

Iftaar was at home today. I made onde-onde, chicken dumplings, jelly santan gula Melaka and the kids made orange juice to go together ☺️. Alhamdulillah. We, the 3 of us sat down for iftaar while husband had his at MSU at an official faculty function with the president. Other items were curry puff, custard, watermelon, coconut and dates. 

Had a bath then we went for Ishak solat followed by terawih at the nearby mosque. Emir was struggling to keep awake while dear Maisha was staunchly following mashaAllah. We spotted a cat on a car while coming back home. 

 Back at home I made tofu, egg, fishball and mushroom soup to go with rice and fish for the 3 of us while for husband I made capati and his chicken qorma from Ambar’s iftaar do. Alhamdulillah
