Ramadan 22 - Hot day

Today is unusually hot. Feels like 37C outside. Poor kids coming home from school in the midday sun and me sending Emir to school in the midday sun!

My sore throat is turning into an irritating cough 😷
And my in laws are coming on Saturday morning, day after. A lot of cleaning is yet to be done and some more food preparation for the Saturday iftaar is still left. My health must recover soon! I’m taking paracetamol, citrazine and cough syrup just before bedtime in the hope it helps speed it up.

Iftaar platter today

Iftaar was home made today, at home. As a lot of cleaning was done during the day, we deserved a wholesome iftaar to break today’s fast. Onion pakora, egg pakora, fruits- watermelon, dragonfruit, banana, chicken dumplings, dahi badha, onde-onde followed by yesterday’s leftover of santan gula Melaka jelly. After terawih at the masjid, all four of us, back to home after husband paid the zakat Fitrah (RM84, RM21 per person based on the rice we eat daily. The usual rate this year is RM7/person who eats normal rice). We then sat for chai with rotiboy, kids had milk then followed by dinner of leftover chicken biryani. I fed both kids who were groggy with sleep.

I did the laundry 🧺 and packed more for the dobi tomorrow morning. Nitezzzz
Alhamdulillah
