The season of blessings

Could it be tonight? It could. So make sure to recite the Quran. I’m still at Surah Ali’Imran ayat ~142… the story of how the Prophet saw was consoled by Allah swt about the losses and hurt from the Battle of Uhud. And that true believers will be tested by Allah swt, so be patient and steadfast. Nonbelievers will be punished and then will perish from their undoings.

We had iftaar outside today, at Hadramawt Yemeni Restaurant in Glenmarie. I always enjoy the food there, just right for the palate. Good arabic cuisine. All 7 of us today. We spent a good amount of RM350++ and enjoyed every bit of it. We did Ishak and terawih at Masjid An-Nur, Temasya Glenmarie and had some moreh before heading for a walk at carnival raya at dataran stadium just outside the condo. Sam bought her souvenirs for her colleagues and the kids enjoyed the mini zoo with chicken, rabbits and snakes. The sound of fireworks sporadic and happening outside lighting up the night sky as we usher in Shawal and the impending end of the holy month of Ramadan. Tomorrow night will be the moon sighting night just at maghrib. If we see the new moon then Eid will be on Friday otherwise it shall be on Saturday and another final day of fasting.

I did some banking today, reactivated the current account debit card and withdrew some cash for Eidee. The bank said small change for raya packets has finished since last week. Mental note to myself to do it right at the beginning of Ramadan next year inshaAllah.

The children began their school holidays today until labour’s day. A week and the half of raya break. I need to arrange for the flight and visit to the UK already. Things like currency exchange and roaming for mobile need attention. Alhamdulillah it was a good day.
