Nope no new moon tonight. It’s 30 days of Ramadan it is! The whole day was packed, no time for an evening nap after zohor. Made Seri Muka kuih in the morning then made lunch for the kids. After that ground meat and daal for shami kebab. Then to ST Rosyams for chicken, eggs & santan etc. Right after that to the laundry bar to do the bed sheets, back home to shower and prep. for iftaar at the Shah Alam Blue Mosque. Alhamdulillah
Iftaar was packed ayam masak merah meal with nasi tomato provided at the mosque. We brought along rock melon, jackfruit, homemade Seri Muka (also one more box for sharing), dahi badha, custard, dates, water and chai. Surprisingly no one touched the dahi badha.
We went for maghrib alternately and then after chai joined the congregation for the final terawih of Ramadan 1444h. We did 8 rakaats followed by witr then pushed off for light dinner at Pelita restaurant seksyen 9 of plaza masalam. Had a few minutes of window shopping which ended up with me spending RM350 worth of fashion jewellery for the girls’ Raya including a necklace, earrings and clutch for ammi. It was pricy… well.
We had 3 beef soup with bread, 2 roti telur and a plate of maggi goreng shared among ourselves. Headed back home and cleared the kitchens before bed. Late and tired. Eid announcement was done at 8pm by official sources. This year 1st Shawal is on 22 April 2023, Saturday.
