The prayer beads are known as the rosary, tasbih, meditation beads, and more. So which religion it comes from anyway? The human race. Humans just need to hold on to something. This thing may be called a hope, a memory, an item of reminder. Eventually it helps us focus and relax while practicing mindfulness. How language plays the fool with us really.
We ourselves are responsible for our own education. How practical it gets is how much we let ourselves get involved and while being intentional about it. Not blinded by lust but being aware and responsible of the emotions surfacing and learning how to control it. Self control.
When I was young, I use to carry the Rosary with me. We say the Rosary prayer every Friday morning before class starts in secondary school. Pious were we. Convent girls. I still recall the prayers. Soothing? Yes but now after revelations it doesn’t make sense anymore those Rosary prayers. Then moving on in life, I found in my 20s the Tasbih. Well, looked similar but using prayers of a different language and meaning. Did it help sooth? Yes. No question about it. Even now it does. But I no longer carry it around. Simply because the Creator has given me fingers to count which I can also use to meditate. Great. Sustainable. Does it work for my soul? Eventually yes. Consistency and intentions play most vital roles.
This post is in dedication to all types of prayer beads in the world. May it be a pathway to the truth. God knows better.
