18 Ramadan 1430h - A test of sabr

Suhoor: Milk and two banana and dates muffins
Iftaar: Water and dates
Dinner: Pakoras (carrot, aubergine, potato), arab bread, potato and chicken curry, yogurt and cucumber, corn on cob.

It was a long long day today. Got up at 630am and was at work at 830am till 630pm. Running about from 4th, 3rd and 2nd floors coordinating with presenters of the conference and saving files. The conference organisers offered free food for the helpers and as the IT support people we get free food too. The only difference being that since it's ramadan, I don't get the food..... oh well, at least the smell of it that started the stomach churning. A test of patience indeed while the rest of the team mates drank hot delicious smelling coffee and munching on specialty cookies.

Then by 630pm, the rain came down in torrents supplemented by sheeting gale force winds that rendered umbrellas practically useless. So got splashed by passing buses and partially soaked by the rain. By the time finished getting groceries, was back in room in time for iftaar. Don't know where I found the energy to make pakoras and sit and eat with housemates till 10pm.
