Advent of Ramadan 1432 H

It is less than a month before we celebrate the holy month once more! This time again on British soil, the spirit of the approaching month is lacking somewhat.
Reminishing Sha'ban before Ramadan draws nigh in Malaysia, a great contrast is felt. No only does maghrib comes late in this land during summer time but even the difference between Ishak and Fajar is not distict as back home where the hours of day time and night time never varies and the time for maghrib never run greater than and hour all year round! I miss home. We welcome Ramadan by celebrating Sha'ban with having meals with friends and family by giving treats and inviting each other to our home for dinner. A time to share. Sha'ban usually prepares us for the great brotherhood we celebrate during Ramadan where giving, buying and sharing has no difference.

Nevertheless, in this land, where values also run deep, let Ramadan come and let us make full use of this God-given blessing and may we gain much reward of the good deeds done during this blessed month and beyond.
