1st -2nd Ramadan 1432h - Mon - Tue - Travelling and the Long Summer Days: Our First Ramadan Together

Mon 1st Ramadan:
2.40am - Sehri (Suhoor) = Oats+Raisins+Mango slices with Milk, Almonds and Dates. Rice with milk and sugar instead of oats and tea for husband.
9.08pm - Iftaar = Pakoras (brinjal, sweet potatoes, diced onions) and dates and orange juice with apple and mango
12midnight (after terawih at 10.30pm-1145pm) - Dinner = Rice and veg.

Tue 2nd Ramadan:
2.45am - Sehri = Oats+raisins with milk, almonds and dates
9.05pm - Iftaar = Pakoras (brinjal, potatoes, green chilli, paneer) and dates, orange juice, mango, kiwi, seafood scampi, fried fish head and sticks of cucumber and carrots with hummous.
12midnight - Dinner = Husband did not have dinner because too full only a spoon of egg fried rice from me. I had a small bowl of eggs fried rice with scampi and tomato ketchup.

It was difficult for both these days because of the long fasting hours and from travelling to and fro from Chesterfield and Manchester. Finally finished up the last of owed laboratory work for Andy, now waiting for analysis of results and paper writing.

I am very impressed and thankful for husband's help in the kitchen. He helped to wash all the dishes and made tamarind chutney and folded and kept away all the clean clothes piled from the day before. He makes it easier for me and for the both of us now after our wedding. Love him. Thank God for him.

Terawih was at Newbold Masjid Muslim Association Chesterfield - a stark reality and difference that no other ladies were there except myself. The sharing/advice given by the Imam was made in Urdu due to the larger Paskistani Muslim attendees. The Imam for the terawih recited the Holy Quran from the 1st Juzuk and he entered the 3rd Juzuk on the 3rd Terawih. On time and recited really fast too.
Alhamdulillah....entering the 2nd trimester, inshaAllah can make a full Ramadan this year. Pray for me and all of us.
Ramadan Mubarak.
