The Journal of Halal Studies is an initiative of Management and Science University under the visionary and Islamic leadership of it's President and founder who is also the chief editor of this journal, Prof. Tan Sri Dato' Wira Dr. Mohd Shukri Ab Yajid, to promote sound science in the wide spectrum of Halal and Toyibban.

This Ramadan 1441h is special because in 2020 although we have been faced with many challenges as individuals and the organisation, we are blessed with mercy by the almighty. The way to dakwah comes in many opportunities, and this year 2020 we established the inaugural scientific journal to talk about research which is halal and within the frame of toyibban.

Halal is legitimate and anything which is legitimate under the sun is welcome as a review or a critical appraisal falling under the Islamic jurisdiction of halal to be published in the Journal of Halal Studies.

The first Volume of JHS shall be out in 2020, with June 2020 being the first issue holding a minimum of 12 articles followed by the 2nd issue in December 2020.
