Reconciliation was mentioned 3 times in the Quran. Reconciliation is forgiveness. How many times should one forgive?
Surah Al-Baqarah 2:228
Divorced women remain in waiting for three periods, and it is not lawful for them to conceal what Allah has created in their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. And their husbands have more right to take them back in this [period] if they want reconciliation. And due to the wives is similar to what is expected of them, according to what is reasonable. But the men have a degree over them [in responsibility and authority]. And Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.
Surah An-Nisa 4:35
And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allah will cause it between them. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Acquainted [with all things].
Surah Ash-Shurah 42:40
And the retribution for an evil act is an evil one like it, but whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is [due] from Allah . Indeed, He does not like wrongdoers.
So we reconciled. After a month of unhappiness with each other. There are many blessings in forgiveness. How many times do you forgive?
I recall lessons from my grandmother- no need to be angry. There’s no good in it. Just be kind. I recall advice from my aunt- marriage takes effort, the feeling of love is temporary. Don’t get married to change the other. You should accept them as they are. I recall lessons from Firdaus Abdullah- peace is within you. No one should control your peace and happiness except you yourself. Just be kind.

The temperature in the late evening dropped to 5 deg Celsius. We reached back to campus accommodation at 10pm. It was cold! The kids were in good spirits and that was heartening. The heater in the room was set to 28 deg C. We slept by 12am after solat, terawih and unpacking shopping items for Eid.

Our iftaar today was in the metro of dates and water. Then we sat down after finding a table for four to have packed rice with gobi gosht. Dinner was fillet o fish at McD.
Alhamdulillah
